The DIT-COSTECH JRS National Biodiversity Data Portal Developers Training Workshop took place from March 2nd to 6th, 2020, bringing together participants from Tanzania, Sweden (SBDI) and Spain (GBIF.ES). The workshop covered key aspects of biodiversity data portal development, including introductions to the ALA community and GitHub, best practices for tool development, infrastructure deployment, and feature enhancement. Sessions included presentations on GBIF.es and GBIF Sweden portals, hands-on technical training, portal initial deployment, and discussions on user requirements and future steps. The event concluded with reflections on the project’s progress and next actions.
